This smoothie was an impromptu drink that I tossed together the other day, just to use up an over abundance of bananas.
I used 3 bananas off the counter and I pulled just one from the freezer to chill and thicken the smoothie a bit. The smoothie turned out closer to a thick juice than a chilly frozen smoothie.
My kids flipped over it. After I handed the drinks to the kids, I walked out of the kitchen for a moment. My middle son yelled after me that “the smoothie is fantastic.” Why am I not surprised that they adored a smoothie made of nothing but juice and bananas?

I need to learn to make smoothies, my 12 y/o loves them. Do you just do them in a blender or do you have something special like one of those Vitamax things?

Wow, simple but looks delicious.

Chris – I've made smoothies for years, just using a standard blender. Most blenders do just fine for the average smoothie. I do have a Vitamix now, but I could make any of these in a standard blender. Good luck!

I usually have a smootie daily and it usually has to do with a banana. MMMMMm I am going to have to try it with orange.

I've never tried mixing this two ingredients and I'm going to try it as soon as I get bananas (we usually have them but not at this moment). My kids will love it!

It was a good breakfast for me but I needed to add ice and the orange juice was overpowering the banana. I might add some apple to it tomorrow morning.

I love how adjustable smoothies are, Noah. Definitely make it your own!
