Have you heard of Fitbit? It seems like half the people I know are wearing some form of an activity monitor these days. Since we are talking about favorite things today, I’m telling you that I love my Fitbit Flex. Sean and I have both been wearing Fitbit Flex wristbands for almost a year. Our Fitbits have motivated us to move more and stay aware of just how sedentary our lives tend to be if we aren’t intentional about the way we spend our time. With days ranging from 1,500 steps (yeah, that was a new low) to 25,000 steps, the wristbands are a great reminder to just keep moving!
Little things like making the choice to walk across the street to pick up a bunch of bananas instead of loading the kids into the car for the quick run to the store has contributed to more movement for our whole family. I can’t deny that it’s much more fun to walk a few miles a day when you are motivated by those little flashing lights.

Just try to get in extra steps around the house and do mini workouts throughout the day. Too much snow, ice and cold to be outside for long.

I work in a 6 story building. I work on the first floor. Every time I visit the restroom (often!) I go up and down the stairs as fast as I can.
