I haven’t had a snow cone in years and this is certain to be the very best snow cone you’ve ever tasted. My kids went nuts over it and I grinned imagining all the possibilities.

The very same day that my friend Meseidy shared her recipe for Puerto Rican shaved ice, I ordered this Shaved Ice Machine. She made a simple snow cone sound so refreshing, I had to try it for myself. (I still can’t believe how excited I am over this simple gadget!)

This handy little machine has already provided a heck of a lot of fun for my kids and I both. On a day when the temp is well past 100 degrees, it’s pure heaven to sit and sip on spoonfuls of sweet shaved ice.

I’m giddy over the possibilities for this machine all summer long!

Sweet Cream Shaved Ice

Servings: 8 -12 servings

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 14- ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • shaved ice about 2 cups per serving

Instructions

  • Whisk together the milk, cream, condensed milk, and vanilla. Shave ice into bowls or cups and drizzle each serving with 1/3 – 1/2 cup of the sweet cream mixture. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

The sweet cream mixture can be prepared up to a week in advance. We keep the sweet cream in the refrigerator and drizzle it over shaved ice for a treat whenever the mood strikes.

    I just heard about creamed shaved ice about a week ago. As soon as he mentioned it I knew I would have to try to find a recipe. Thank you so much for the recipe. I would try vanilla first and work from there. Sometimes I have a little trouble breathing and a nurse told me shaved or crushed would help. She was right. I carried a kids snow cone maker for a long time. My grandson love it because I used the flavors for them. I ate plain ice. I can still see and hear my granddaughter the g first time I showed up without it. She looked so sad and said oh no mam you must be feeling better. No more snow cones. I went and bought them one before I went home. Lol.5 stars

    Can’t wait to make this. If I won this cool machine. I would make first with it a brown mule. Using this cream recipe with a chocolate syrup .5 stars

    My first snow cone would definitely be a Sweet Mocha if your a coffee lover then you will fall in love ! Combine 2 Oz of sweetened cold brew coffee a couple table spoons chocolate syrup an a couple oz’s of half n half mix together pour over your shaved ice it’s my favorite5 stars

    What is cream? 😂 the ingredients just say “cream”… Heavy whipping cream? Light cream? Cream cream? 😂2 stars

    I would make strawberry syrup first and then try tigers blood syrup. And both with sweet cream. All of which I would make at home myself.

    Well my kids reluctantly ate it and I pawned mine off to them. It’s iced sweet milk. Maybe if I added some strawberry snow cone syrup for strawberry and cream type thing it’d be good. Sorry, not for us1 star
