Late last night, I stumbled onto this post and I had tears streaming down my face within moments. I’ve been blogging for just a few months and in that time, I discovered something unexpected. The beauty of the blogging community.

I am so heartbroken for Jennifer and her family right now. But so thankful that she was wise enough to encourage us to reach out to those we love.

I woke up early to get to the store first thing this morning, before my husband left for work. The moment we finished breakfast, my boys and I were putting this pie together.

In Jennie’s words:
For those asking what they can do to help my healing process, make a peanut butter pie this Friday and share it with someone you love. Then hug them like there’s no tomorrow because today is the only guarantee we can count on.

I wish I had come across the Mikey post earlier, I think it is a wonderful way to remember someone and to spread the good feelings. I think it was very brave of Jenni. And your cake has done it proud. GG

Beautiful pie. Is is so nice that your boys made it with you. I saw this too late but I cant bake peanut pie and my son is allergic to peanuts. Anyway he would appreciate a hug. Thanks for reminding me to live everyday as though it is my last.
