I roasted a turkey last week and wanted to serve the leftovers a little differently from the original meal. The turkey was perfectly matched with the tang of the balsamic and the slight sweetness from just a bit of brown sugar.
I can easily imagine this would be just as delicious over leftover chicken or even ham.
Balsamic Brown Sugar Sauce over Turkey
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup turkey or chicken broth
- 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine all three ingredients. Bring to a boil and them simmer until reduced by about half. Drizzle warm sauce over turkey slices. Enjoy!

I always think the leftover turkey needs some type of a sauce to go on it and this sounds perfect. Love the sweetness and the tang!
