There’s nothing quite like the fresh clean slate of a new year. The unmarked calendar, the to-do lists with so much promise, the strengthened resolve to tackle new (and sometimes old) projects. Everything looks possible and the promise of a new beginning is irresistible to me.
In the midst of planning for next year, I adore this week between Christmas and New Years. We usually travel to New Mexico to spend time with my sister’s family. We cook together, play games, unwind, relax fully, and laugh often. We will head home at the end of the week grateful for the warmer Arizona winters and we will once again fondly remember a few snowy days.
At the end of the year, I love to look back and remember the new dishes that we’ve enjoyed each year. These recipes were the ten most popular new recipes for 2015.
As we say goodbye to 2015, I want to thank you from my overflowing heart. Thank you for visiting Barefeet In The Kitchen, making the recipes, sharing foods with friends, and allowing me to continue doing this job that I love so very much.
10) Lemon Coffee Cake – Sweetly tart Lemon Coffee Cake with a crunchy sprinkled sugar topping and a warm lemon butter glaze is perfect with a cup of coffee in the morning, a scoop of ice cream in the afternoon, or on it’s own for a late night snack.
9) Cheater Korean Beef – Cheater Korean Beef is the kind of recipe that both beginning and experienced cooks need in their life. This simple meal comes together in minutes and is full of fantastic flavors. It’s easier than ordering take-out, saves you money, and tastes better too!
8) German Chocolate Macaroons – If you like German Chocolate Cake with its layers of chocolate cake, gooey caramel, coconut and pecan frosting, you will LOVE these German Chocolate Macaroons.
7) Creamy Lemon Pasta – This pasta with a light and creamy lemon sauce and just a hint of heat makes a lightning fast dinner and as an added benefit, it reheats beautifully, making any leftover pasta a favorite for lunches as well.
6) The Ultimate Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies – Giant bakery-style cookies with crisp edges and a perfectly chewy center, filled with chocolate chips and sprinkled with flaked sea salt, this is a cookie you absolutely must taste to believe.
5) Chicken Skewers with Avocado Sauce – These chipotle and lime marinated chicken kabobs are served with avocado cream sauce and they are one of my personal favorites for the year.
4) Crazy Salt – This Copycat recipe for Jane’s Krazy Mixed Up Salt is a favorite with everyone and I happily sprinkle it on everything! Use this Crazy Salt anywhere you might want a sprinkling of salt, but it especially amazing on eggs.
3) Homemade {Baked} Chick-fil-A Sandwiches – Crisp breading, tender juicy chicken, tangy pickles, and a buttered hamburger bun are the key players in the classic Chick-fil-A sandwich. I’m thrilled to tell you that you can make a fabulous copycat version of the Chick-fil-A sandwich at home, for a fraction of the cost.
2) Cucumber Tomato Salad – Fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, and basil are drizzled with a simple balsamic and oil dressing to make this simple Cucumber Tomato Salad. It’s perfect for a casual weeknight dinner or for feeding a crowd at a potluck.
1) Asian Steak Bites – Crisp on the outside, hot and juicy on the inside, simply seasoned with soy sauce, honey, and chili paste; these steaks bites are a hit every single time I make them.

Just use your browser's print option to print the page for the printable recipe. It should print on a single page without any advertising. Enjoy!
