It’s finally the weekend, my friends, and for that I am grateful. This has been a really sad week for many of us in the blogging world as we said goodbye to our precious friend Joan. (You will find all of the blog posts dedicated to her here.) May this loss remind all of us that life can be short. Hug those around you, tell your friends and family today that you love them and then make some new memories together.
I’ll be spending today with Sean, playing hooky from all of our everyday responsibilities while our boys are visiting grandma. (Thanks, Mom!) I plan to eat some great food, watch a couple movies, wander around the valley, and most definitely eat some chocolate.
I believe that chocolate makes everything better, that the smell of something baking in the kitchen can completely lift your mood and that strong family values are built around the dinner table. – Joan Hayes
