Savory oat crackers topped with creamy brie and sweetly spiced jam is a snack no one can resist! - get the recipe at barefeetinthekitchen.com
Savory oat crackers topped with creamy brie and sweetly spiced jam has been my go-to snack for the past few days. I can’t get enough of this simple combination.

For the latest bit of deliciousness in my partnership with Walkers Shortbread, I want to tell you about Walkers Highland Oatcakes. (Heads up, they’re labeled as Highland Oat Crackers in the U.S.) Scottish Oatcakes are savory crackers, but they can also be made into a sweet treat depending on how they are served. Imagine a cracker with loads of oat flavor, hearty enough to be topped with any number of sweet or savory bites.

I have a well-known love of cheese and charcuterie; making meat and cheese boards for snacking is our thing on most Friday nights at home.

I stacked these oatcakes along with some brie and sweet and spicy pepper jam on one of our boards a few weeks ago and I could hardly believe how much everyone loved those savory crackers when topped with a generous smear of brie and a dollop of jam.
These oatcakes have made numerous appearances on our meat and cheese boards since we first tried them and my boys have taken to snacking on these oatcakes as often as they’re allowed.
