Fresh cantaloupe, sweet grapes and perfectly ripe bananas were all that I needed to make my boys happy yesterday. They both thought that cantaloupe bowls were a special treat.
This took me just a few minutes to put together. Seeing how happy it made my boys, I’ll be doing this again in the future.
Quick and Easy Cantaloupe Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 medium size cantaloupe
- 2 bananas
- 1 cup red grapes
Instructions
- Split the cantaloupe in half and use a melon baller to scoop out the fruit. Place the fruit in a separate bowl. Slice the bananas and add them to the cut melon pieces. Wash the grapes and them add them to the rest of the fruit. Toss gently and then place back inside the cantaloupe halves.
- * I found that the cantaloupe halves were a bit large for single servings. I trimmed an additional inch off of each half. I cut them almost triangular, three cuts, and that formed three slight points on the bowl.

Hey Mary! I've been sick for a few days and got way behind on reading posts. Looks like I missed some great recipes over the weekend. But the nice thing about blogs, this information will be here for a long time so I am not trying to catch up. Love the cantelope idea. It is so pretty and I bet the kids love the edible bowl. Your cookies, squash and everything looks great! Now if my sense of taste will come back I'll be in business. Thanks!

Such a cute idea! Healthy too! My kids don't eat cantaloupe but I could eat all of that and fill the bowls with their favorite 🙂

My boys would love this too! Me not so much. I developed an aversion to cantaloup when I worked in the produce department in high school.
But my two boys are cantaloup fiends.
