Hey friends, I’ve partnered with Kroger to share Stouffer’s Complete Family Meal Kits with you today. In spite of the fact that I literally wrote a book on quick and easy weeknight dinners, (see The Weeknight Dinner Cookbook for proof), there are still nights when I just don’t want to think about a recipe.
So, when I heard about these complete meal kits, I knew I’d be trying them soon. After I tried them? I’ve been pretty excited to tell you all about them.
And because I am all about making dinner prep easy, I’m giving away three gift cards to help you get dinner on the table too. {Don’t miss the giveaway info at the bottom of this post!) GIVEAWAY CLOSED
Each of the meal kits comes with pre-chopped, pre-measured ingredients to help you cook a meal that you will feel good about sharing with your family.
There is an individually packaged protein, vegetables, whole grains, and a sauce for each dinner.
Frozen Dinners
Do you remember the frozen dinners that you tried when you first moved out of your parent’s house and before you learned to cook? The ones where everything comes in the same bag and gets dumped in a skillet?
Was that just me? Well, this is not that frozen dinner.
The alternate title for this post was “Frozen Dinners That Don’t Suck” and let me tell you these dinners are tasty.
Best Frozen Dinners
Stouffer’s has three different kits available and we’ve tried them all.
Braised Pork Medallions with roasted redskin and sweet potatoes, broccoli florets, and a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce.
Roasted white meat chicken with broccoli florets, brown rice & quinoa, and a garlic basil sauce.
Tender strips of marinated beef, with a broccoli, onion and carrot blend, rice and an Asian style sauce.
Each of these meals was voted a keeper by my crew.
These meal kits are so easy to cook, my boys took turns cooking each one. There’s something kind of awesome about a meal you can pull straight from the freezer and have on the table with zero hassle at all.
Our favorite meal was the Tuscan Chicken and it really was a breeze to pull together. Nate was the cook for this one and he had fun. He handled it almost completely on his own.
The chicken in the Tuscan Chicken meal kit was my personal favorite and my kids especially loved the steak in the Beef and Broccoli meal kit.
From warming the rice, to sauteing the beef and vegetables, and then drizzling that Asian sauce over everything, he was in charge of dinner – with just a little help from his big brother.
For today’s 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway, I’m giving away (3) $40 gift cards to the grocery store or online retailer of your choice. To be entered for this giveaway, leave a comment telling me your favorite quick and easy dinner!

My easy dinner to cook up week nights is Shepard’s Pie, deconstructed. I cook the hamburg, I add gravy and corn in one pan, cook potatoes in another pan, and serve without putting in the oven. Why bake it another 30 to 40 minutes.
