Welcome to the weekend, my friends! Today is a BIG day in my world. My oldest son turned 18 this morning. I’m so proud of him and I’m looking forward to celebrating with him all day!

ON THE BLOG this week: Saucy, tender, irresistible Country Style BBQ Ribs are a dinner favorite year-round. Best of all, you can make country-style ribs in the oven for an easy weeknight meal.

All the rich flavors of classic bread pudding meet French toast in this easy Pecan Praline French Toast Bake. Fully loaded with pralines and spices, there is enough sugar to make it a treat, without sending my whole family into a sugar crash mid-morning. This super easy recipe can be assembled in under 20 minutes, then you just pop it in the oven until the brown sugar pecan topping has caramelized and each buttery sweet bite is warm and toasted.

Spicy ground beef, black beans, and fresh spinach are piled onto crisp tostada shells to make these mouth-watering Beef Tostadas. They’re topped with plenty of melting cheese making them a favorite for the whole family.

This smooth and creamy Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge is going to be your new favorite treat this holiday season. Easy fudge recipes are my saving grace this time of year. I always want to be that hostess or friend with plenty of holiday treats at her fingertips, but then time gets away from me. Lightning-fast candy recipes help me put together holiday treats with the least amount of effort.

What I’m CRAVING: This No-Knead Cranberry Walnut Bread by The Busy Baker looks absolutely incredible. I have it on my baking list now and can hardly wait to bake it, slice it, toast it, and slather it with butter for breakfast.

My FAVORITE THING this week is my new weekly/monthly planner for 2022. This is the third year that I’ll be using this calendar for my daily to-do lists. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how simple it is. It’s the most basic planner I’ve ever used, (and hands-down the cheapest at under $10!) but it just plain works for me.

There is a two-page spread for each week with plenty of space to scribble out notes for each workday. Over the years, I’ve tried so many planners and methods and calendars that I’ve lost track. But between this ultra-simple calendar and the Todoist app, that’s all I use now.

What I’m WATCHING: Dune. We took the kids to see Dune last night and it earned ten thumbs up from our crowd. We ALL loved it.

What I’m READING: In the Company of Others by Jan Karon. This is the 11th book in the Mitford series. After taking a break from this series, I’m really enjoying diving into the books once again. Father Tim and Cynthia are as charming as ever, as are all of the new characters they meet while on their long-anticipated vacation in Ireland.

“A merry heart does good like medicine.” Proverbs 17:22

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!

Love the photo, geese flying above. I can’t wait to see them down here in Texas. Reminds me of all the fall/winter foods my mama made in our kitchen on the farm. Love your blog, recipes and all! Thank you!
