Welcome to the weekend, my friends. I spent this week in Phoenix, soaking up time with friends and family. As much as I adore Ohio, it’s fun to be back in our old area from time to time. I’m typing this at the airport this morning as I wait for my return flight to Columbus. I’m ready to be home where fall has arrived and the days and night are cooling off at last.

ON THE BLOG this week: Crunchy green cabbage, fresh corn, and red onions are tossed with a creamy, spicy sauce of mayonnaise, lime, cilantro, and cotija cheese to create this Mexican Street Corn Coleslaw.

My mom’s classic Pumpkin Pie recipe is one that you’re likely familiar with, this is pumpkin pie the way I love it best. Served warm or cold, with whipped cream, cool whip, or ice cream, pumpkin pie is one of the classic desserts that I look forward to eating each holiday season.

Buttermilk Coffee Cake topped with a heaping layer of buttery cinnamon crumb topping is a cake that any cinnamon-lover is certain to love. I recommend stirring this together today and enjoying a slice after dinner tonight and again tomorrow morning with a cup of coffee or tea.

What I’m CRAVING: My friend Lynne shared some Meatball Subs the other day and I’ve been craving them ever since! What’s not to love about cheesy, saucy meatballs tucked into a sub sandwich?

My FAVORITE THINGS this week are these Cocomel Sea Salt Caramels. I’ll start by saying that if you’d told me these were vegan caramels before I tasted one, I likely wouldn’t have even tried the candy. However, oh my word, these coconut milk caramels are dairy-free bites of pure bliss!

My friend Natasha introduced me to this candy a few weeks ago and I’ve already ordered a 6 pack of the bags for myself and to share with friends. (They’re a rich treat too. Just one is enough to satisfy my sweet tooth.)

What I’m READING: A Voice in the Wind: Mark of the Lion by Francine Rivers. These books are some of my favorites by Francine Rivers. This trilogy is historical fiction and I read them for the first time when I was in high school.

This is a thought-provoking read with plenty of parallels between first-century Rome and our world today. I highly recommend these books.

Hi, I didn’t find the link to candy that your friend Natasha introduced you to – I did click on her name and ended up drooling over a few recipes on her blog and now am more curious about the candy!
