Welcome to the weekend, my friends! I’m in a cookie baking, go for a walk, curl up on the couch with a new book kind of mood. That’s a thing, right? I just need to choose which cookies to make and my weekend will be off to a delicious start.

ON THE BLOG this week: The best Balsamic Vinaigrette has plenty of tartness and bite from a generous portion of balsamic vinegar, dijon mustard, and garlic with just a touch of sweetness and honey flavor to balance it all out.

Chewy, crisp Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies are a classic cookie that no one can resist. They disappear lightning fast whenever I make them.

Oatmeal Cookie Ice Cream is a creamy, rich ice cream loaded with chunks of chewy oatmeal cookies. This fun ice cream is my newest favorite ice cream.

What I’m CRAVING:  These Hibachi Noodles from my friend Rachael at Eazy Peazy Mealz sound really great right now. You have to love a dinner that you can pull together lightning fast with so much flavor.

My FAVORITE THINGS this week are these fantastic hair sticks. I’ve been on the hunt for a way to pull my hair up without causing headaches and I think I’ve finally found it. The sticks have a little wave to them and they hold hair in place like nothing else I’ve tried.

What I’m WATCHING: Firefly What’s not to love? When I mentioned Firefly in the newsletter last week it reminded me that I hadn’t yet introduced my older boys to the show! I’ve had a great time this week watching through the series (always so sad there are only 13 episodes!) and laughing at my favorite parts.

What I’m READING: Several duds that I don’t want to even link to and potentially cause you to purchase. Better luck next week. As always, I’ll keep you posted.

“For the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs.” – George Eliot

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
