Welcome to the weekend, my friends! It’s hard to believe that we’re already in the 7th week of Christmas giveaways. The holidays are rapidly approaching and I am so ready for it!

In the past, my family has always decorated for Christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving, but this year? 2020 feels like a really good year to decorate a little earlier. Anyone else ready for some holiday cheer?

Today, for the seventh week of the 12 Weeks of Christmas Giveaways, I’m giving away Thanksgiving Dinner! While I can’t deliver the dinner itself, the winner will receive a $200 VISA gift card to buy Thanksgiving groceries. (Feel free to enter for yourself or for a friend!)

(Take advantage of the holiday season and get over to the shop ASAP. The Christmas displays are simply gorgeous.)

ON THE BLOG this week: Cranberry Christmas Cake is one of those recipes that is an instant favorite every single time someone new tastes it. Tart cranberries, sweet buttery cake, and a fantastic texture all combined to basically beg me to eat another piece.

Crispy pork, tender vegetables, and potatoes topped with a perfectly soft egg? Sign me up for this Pulled Pork Breakfast Skillet any day of the week.

5 Minute 5 Ingredient Chocolate Fudge is a creamy chocolate fudge recipe. It is perfect for gifting, snacking, and serving for any occasion.

What I’m CRAVING: This Creamy Mushroom, Chicken, and Wild Rice Soup looks and sounds absolutely fantastic. And with that perfectly toasted slice of bread too? Just hand me a spoon.

My FAVORITE THING this week is my new robe. Nothing fancy, super casual, and the ultimate in soft comfort. I’ve tried so many robes over the years and they always wind up making me hot. (not the good kind of hot either – ha) This robe is awesomely lightweight with a great hem length and sleeve length. Oh! And bonus points for a wide tie that is stitched down on the back of the robe, so it always lays flat and is flattering.

What I’m WATCHING: I watched Guarding Tess for the first time this week. I know it’s 25+ years old, but it popped up in my recommendations and I decided to give it a watch. Shirley MacLaine was great and the movie was a fun choice. I really enjoyed it!

What I’m READING: A New Song by Jan Karon. This is the fifth novel in the Mitford series and I continue to love these books. I’m forcing myself to take a brief break from the Mitford series now, so that I don’t finish them too quickly! This series has been so very good for my heart this year.

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!

The sides are the best. I have a great cranberry salad recipe that is probably my favorite.

It will be very hard this year because we have had to cancel all family plans. My husband and I have our 50th wedding anniversary on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and we will celebrate at home by ourselves. Our family will join us via phone or face time. However, we are so blessed and grateful for all our Blessings and look forward to the time we can celebrate with one another in person!

May you and yours have a blessed Thanksgiving. Thank you for the opportunity to enter such a wonderful give away.

My favorite dish is roasted yams & sweet potatoes – cubed, lightly coated with olive oil, salt & pepper on a bed of fresh herbs. Yum!

My favorite Thanksgiving side is a toss-up between the Dressing (baked on the side, crunchy & buttery on top) and the Brandied Cranberries…

I look forward to the yummy flavors of sausage and herb dressing, but I have been making green bean casserole the last few years from scratch and it is a favorite too!

My favorite Thanksgiving side dish is stuffing (with gravy of course!). Realistically all the sides (mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, yams, Cranberries, etc) really go together into one big “super” side so maybe that’s my favorite side! Now I’m hungry!

My favorite dishes on Thanksgiving are the stuffing and the pies. They are not something I make on a regular basis, so are a treat to look forward to. As with everyone else, I will be by myself for the holidays this year. My husband went into a nursing home about a year ago. With the pandemic, I’ve barely been able to see him, and certainly can’t be there in person to eat Thanksgiving dinner with him. It’s been a lonely year. I’m praying that some kind of vaccine or cure can be found, so we can spend time in person again. (I love you, honey!)
