Welcome to the weekend, my friends! Are you as excited as I am for fall? Cozy sweaters, hearty soups, slippers, and soft blankets are all calling my name. It was 52 degrees on the porch one morning this week and I couldn’t stop grinning over it.

Have you had a chance to check out the new website? If so, you’ve probably seen an option to Log In or Create Account in the top right hand corner of the screen on desktop, or in the top right hand corner on mobile under the drop down menu.

Wondering why you’d want to set up your own account on Barefeet In The Kitchen? Visiting the website will now allow you to save your favorite recipes on the website itself, creating a recipe box for you to use whenever you need the recipe again. Want to add a recipe to your box? Just tap the heart icon on the recipe photo in the index.

Enter your email and I’ll send this recipe right to your inbox! Plus, I’ll send you new recipes every week!

And last but oh so not least, I am very excited to tell you that you now have the ability to upload a photo when you make the recipes! Many of you have asked about this feature and I’m thrilled to have it up and running on the website now. I can hardly wait to see what you are making!

ON THE BLOG this week: Balsamic Glazed Meatloaf is about to change your meatloaf game. Rich and flavorful, soft and moist without being the least bit mushy, this meatloaf recipe (and the best ever meatloaf glaze) was a dinnertime game changer in my family shortly after Sean and I were first married.

Tender pasta and bell peppers come together in this simple, but oh so flavor-filled Garlicky Pepper Pasta Salad. We’ve been on a serious pasta salad kick this summer, and this salad is perfect as a light meal or side dish for your next potluck or barbecue.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Granola? Yes, please! What’s not to love about peanut butter, chocolate chips, and a handful of irresistible toffee bits all mixed up in one supremely easy granola recipe?

What I’m CRAVING: All the SOUPS!! I have a couple of these recipes on our meal plan now, so that I can update photos for the website – and so that I can eat them again!

I also have my friend Christi’s recipe for Chicken Pot Pie Soup on my meal plan. It caught my eye earlier this year and I’m so happy to finally be making it.

My FAVORITE THING this week is my new Lodge skillet. Have you seen the 2020 skillet for the Made In America series? I couldn’t resist the artwork and I thought it was a neat way to commemorate the strength we’ve all shown this year.

What I’m LISTENING TO: I’m obsessed with the My Plate Is Always Full podcast. The first episodes finally released this week and I listened to all three on Wednesday. If you want something absolutely delicious to listen to each week, I highly recommend subscribing. I laughed a lot, learned something new, and finished each episode hungry!

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” George Santayana, 1905. (I recently learned that this wasn’t originally Churchill’s quote. He was paraphrasing the original in his 1948 speech.)

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
