Cooking Tips

The goal when cooking the meat is to create a crisply browned outside and a lovely pink and juicy center for each piece.

As the meat is cooking, if a piece is slightly larger and has a side that looks like it hasn’t browned, flip to that side again for 20-30 seconds. Take caution not to overcook the steak.

Garlic Butter Steak Bites Recipe

  1. Cut the steak into bite-size pieces, about 1/2″ – 3/4″ in size. Sprinkle the meat generously with ¾ teaspoon salt and pepper. Heat a heavy flat bottomed stainless skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter. When the butter has melted, swirl to coat the pan. Add about half of the meat and spread it across the pan.
  2. Cook for 1 minute and then use a large spatula to flip the pieces over. Cook 1 more minute. Use a spatula to remove the meat to a plate and then repeat with the second batch of meat pieces.
  3. Add an additional tablespoon butter to the skillet. The entire cooking process for the meat should only take a few minutes total. When all of the meat has finished cooking, loosely tent foil over the cooked steak bites on the plate.
  4. Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in the hot skillet, along with the garlic. Scrape up any browned bits of meat from the bottom of the skillet. Pour the buttery pan drippings over the steak bites on the plate. Serve hot.

Have not made these as yet but plan to… The recipe instructions do not include when the garlic is added. So, when is the garlic added?

You’ll add the garlic with the final bit of butter and then scrape up the pan drippings and drizzle it all over the meat. Enjoy!
