This takes me back to being a kid. A nice warm waffle with ice cream on it and sometimes we would ask fresh strawberries on top too. It was a special occasion treat.

As long as my waffle is light, crispy and nicely brown I will be happy. I don’t like a soggy and limp waffle.

I like savory waffles! I used to have a recipe for the waffle maker that used leftover mashed potatoes. I haven’t thought about those in years, but they were so, so yummy.

My favorite waffle was one at a restaurant in Tulsa, it was a regular waffle but it had Nutella buttercream, strawberries andhazelnuts on top. So fabulous I’d drive back there for it!
I’m really wanting to try your cheddar with gravy though.
