Happy Holidays, my friends! Today we’re kicking off 12 Days of Christmas giveaways here at Barefeet In The Kitchen with the first one and it’s for charity.
We’re going to donate $150 to the charity of the winner’s choice. To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment on this post with the name of your favorite charitable organization. ENTRIES CLOSED – $150 donation has been made to Doctors Without Borders.
I’m so excited about all of these giveaways and you’re going to want to make sure you check the site every day so you won’t miss out on anything!
Spoiler alert: There are some really fun prizes coming up, as I’m giving away a whole lot of my favorite things!
Let’s start with the obvious here. See these ads all over our website? Could you possibly miss them? Every time those ads load on your screen it sends a few cents our way.
Those ads make this website possible and this month, I’m sharing some of that holiday ad revenue with our readers in the form of a whole lot of giveaways. I can hardly wait to tell you about each one!
I asked you in Saturday’s newsletter what things you’d most like to see for the Christmas giveaways and you had some really great ideas for both big and small prizes!
To enter the giveaway just leave a comment on this post telling me which charity you will choose to receive $150 when you win.
Giveaway sponsored by Barefeet In The Kitchen. Giveaway ends on December 18, 2018 at 11:59pm EST. No purchase necessary. Must be 18 years of age or older and a resident of the U.S to enter. One winner will be randomly selected and notified via email.

I would like to nominate Child Find of America, http://www.childfindofamerica.org. Stated Mission: To prevent and resolve all cases of missing, abducted and runaway children. Child Find is rated A+ by Charity watch cue to the high percentage of budget spent on programs (92% compared to the average of 85% for charities) and the low percentage of costs for fundraising ($6 out of every $100 raised is well below the average). I much prefer charities that spend more money on their causes.

Pawfect Match (www.pawfectmatch.org) is a dog rescue local to my area (Raleigh, NC). I have a friend who is a volunteer with the organization and fosters puppies, as well. I know the level of dedication she puts into her involvement, and I think it’s safe to say it is indicative of the ALL their volunteers’ efforts, They could certainly use $150 this holiday season!

Although not in the spotlight as much anymore, AIDS is still affecting lives. The charity closest to my heart and one I am the volunteer chef for our monthly Friendship meal, is AIDS Project Snohomish County (APSC) in Washington State. The seven members of the Board meet regularly, and are volunteers. There is no paid staff. There Is No Office Space they Meet At Various Locations around Snohomish County ensuring all funds raised go to client services.
Recent Programs Supported * Pacific Treatment Alternatives – Drop-in center for HIV Prevention * Helpers of People with AIDS – Friendship Meal * World AIDS Day Events * Annual Links & Alliance Conference for Gay Youth * Snohomish County AIDS Memorial on the Courthouse Grounds. Any donation to this organization would be welcome.
