My thoughts, after trying my own Butcher Box subscription: If you want to save time and skip the hassle of going to special grocery stores for specific cuts of meat, or if you have trouble finding high-quality meats near you at a decent price, and you know that you’ll enjoy the convenience of having a new assortment of meats automatically delivered to your home each month, then ButcherBox is for you.

On the other hand, if you are on a tight grocery budget, if you typically plan your meals around the $2-3 per pound meats that go on sale, if you don’t honestly care about the high end quality of the meat as long as it tastes good when you cook it and everyone is fed? This probably isn’t going to be your deal. No judgement at all. I spent a whole lot of years shopping the sale ads and I can tell you now that this offer wouldn’t have been a fit for me at that time.

However, if you ARE interested in checking out the quality difference that you actually can taste in grass fed beef and heritage breed pork? These offers are an awesome way to do that.

I can assure you that the difference in quality between THIS meat and the grass fed beef I’ve bought from the grocery store is night and day. (And this price is much better!)
