Have you joined the charcuterie board craze? My friend Maegan from The Baker Mama is basically the queen of all the foods you could possibly pile onto a board and everything she shares makes me so hungry!

When I spied this parfait breakfast board in her new cookbook Beautiful Boards, I immediately put it on my meal plan. What’s not to love about yogurt parfaits with loads of fun toppings?!

Yogurt Parfait Bar

Even more fun than serving parfait cups to your breakfast guests is presenting them with a beautiful spread like this one.

Setting up a yogurt parfait bar takes just a little bit of effort but makes a big impact. You get serious hostess points for a spread of yogurt, fresh fruit, nuts, granola and a little something sweet to drizzle on top.

Best of all, you can make a good yogurt parfait bar with ingredients you’re likely to already have in your fridge and pantry. While it’s nice to have two or three different types of yogurt, cereal or fruit up for grabs, this breakfast board is all about adaptability.

Surprised by last minute overnight guests? It’s a yogurt parfait bar to the rescue! Put everything in bowls and let your guests help themselves to building their perfect parfait.

I love when I find a recipe that feels “nice” enough to serve to guests but is also quick and easy enough for an every day meal. A cereal and yogurt bar ensures that everyone in the family can have a breakfast just the way they like it.

Yogurt with Granola

What is the magic that makes yogurt with granola so darn good? There’s something about creamy yogurt with the satisfying “crunch” of granola in each bite that I can’t get enough of in the morning.

We are big fans of granola here and we have several recipes that you’re likely to find in our pantry any day of the week. Have you tried making granola in the crock-pot? It turns out perfect every time!

Chewy Peanut Granola is immensely snackable, as is this Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Granola. You’ll want to use that crunchy granola to make these Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Granola Parfaits too!

Tropical Coconut Granola would be a great addition to breakfast parfaits too. And for a fun dessert option, I highly recommend you try this Chewy Toffee Cookie Granola over ice cream.

Add Blueberry Muesli Bites for a chewy, crunchy, nutty snack as your guests assemble their parfaits.

How to Make a Breakfast Parfait Bar

Putting together this breakfast board is as easy as dividing your ingredients into different serving bowls and arranging them on a charcuterie board.

A great parfait has three key elements:

  1. Yogurt. This recipe calls for three different varieties of yogurt served in separate bowls: plain, vanilla and fruit flavored. Both Greek yogurt and regular yogurt will work well. Choose whichever you fancy or offer some of both!
  2. Granola. The instructions for this board also recommended Honey Nut Cheerios and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The sweet bits of cereal and the nutty granola worked so well in our parfaits!
  3. Fruit. All kinds of fresh fruit will work well in a parfait. I used grapes, bananas and fresh berries because that is what we had on hand.

Layer these elements in your bowl or parfait cup and you have the makings of a delicious morning meal. You could stop there and be perfectly content but why not go the extra mile?

A drizzle of maple syrup or honey turns an ordinary bowl of yogurt into a heavenly treat. A few slivered almonds, chopped walnuts or pecan pieces on top are another nice touch.

I enjoyed arranging my bowls of cereal, fruit, and yogurt in a pretty way for these photos but if you’re in a hurry, simply lining up everything on a board or breakfast bar will do just fine. The beauty of a parfait bar is that it can be completely tailored to your preferences.

Set up the breakfast yogurt bar in whichever way works best for you and your family. Put a pot of coffee on and a pitcher of juice on the table and you’re good to go.

Who would have thought ordinary breakfast foods could be put together into something so impressive? I’ve been making cheeseboards and other charcuterie spreads for a while now and I love this breakfast inspired spin on the concept.

There are so many awesome ideas tucked inside the Beautiful Boards cookbook! Whether you’re hosting a party, planning a movie night, or simply want to create a memorable date-night in, there’s a recipe here to guarantee a winner of a board.

This cookbook is coffee table worthy and I recommend it for any “foodie” in your life. The photography is simply gorgeous!

While the book might be pretty enough to justify buying just to flip through, you also won’t be able to resist making your own charcuterie boards after reading it. There really is a board for just about any occasion!

Parfait Making Tips: The ingredients for the yogurt parfaits are incredibly adaptable. Multiply them as needed for a crowd and change them out for your favorite foods as desired.

There’s no reason why you have to limit your parfait enjoyment to the morning, either. A self-serve parfait bar would be a welcome sight for lunch or for a fun “breakfast for dinner” night!

My whole family loved building our own individual parfaits from this spread. I know we’ll be enjoying many more yogurt and granola parfait bars in the near future!
