Bacon Wrapped Chicken Bites are the appetizer that’s bound to disappear first at your next party. My husband and I went out a few weeks ago and enjoyed a great dinner that included bacon-wrapped chicken. The notion of tender bites of chicken wrapped in salty bacon hat has been stuck in my head every since.
Bacon Wrapped Chicken Bites
It didn’t take long to figure out how to make perfect bacon wrapped chicken bites. Perfecting the sweet chili sauce I wanted to make to go with them took a little more tinkering but it was well worth it.
I’m so excited for you all to try this bacon wrapped chicken dipped in a sweet and spicy chili sauce.
I liked the combo of bacon and chicken so much that I’ve actually made these little chicken bites three times this week. (Luckily, you can cook just a few at a time!)
It’s a hard life taste testing these things, let me tell you. I was determined to get the chili sauce right and I couldn’t resist making more of these little bites to go with it each time.
These bacon wrapped chicken bites make a perfect starter, appetizer or finger food for a party but I’d also happily eat them as a meal all on their own.
If you like these chicken bites, you might also want to try the spicy sweet Honey Sriracha Chicken Bites and the Indian Chicken Bites I’ve shared on the blog.
Sweet Chili Sauce
While I really liked the Sweet Chili Sauce I dipped these bites in, you are welcome to use any dipping sauce you prefer or even eat them sans sauce. They’re delicious any which way!
I’m particular about my sweet chili sauce so I personally enjoy this homemade Sweet Chili Sauce recipe to serve with bacon wrapped chicken. If you have a favorite store bought chili sauce, by all means feel free to use it in this recipe!

Bacon and Chicken Recipes
Salty and smoky bacon is delicious on its own but when wrapped around a piece of moist and tender chicken? Perfection.
I love cooking bacon and chicken together. The fat and flavor from the bacon does so much to enhance the taste and texture of chicken.
One of my all-time favorite weeknight dinner recipes is Spicy Chicken and Bacon Stir-Fry. My kids love it more than any other of the many chicken stir-fry recipes I make frequently. It never gets old.
What sounds better for a hearty lunch than a Smoky Grilled Chicken and Bacon Sandwich? How about that same sandwich covered in beer cheese? I’ve never liked a warm sandwich more, I promise.
Looking for more things to wrap with bacon? I can’t wait to try Bacon Wrapped Dates with Goat Cheese and Pecans , Bacon Wrapped Peaches and this Maple Glazed Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin.
Truth be told, I’m bound to like just about anything wrapped in bacon!
Just a few notes before we get to this beyond simple recipe. I preferred these when made with the smaller bites of chicken. I cut the chicken anywhere from 1/2″ – 3/4″ – 1″ in size and my favorites were the tiny bites.
Depending on the size of the chicken pieces, you will need to cut the slices of bacon either in thirds or in quarters. I also preferred the dark chicken meat to the light, but that is likely more personal preference than anything else. Feel free to try both types of meat in this recipe to find out what you prefer!
Bacon Wrapped Chicken Bites with Sweet Chili Sauce

- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with foil and then place a metal rack over the foil. Dice the chicken into bite size pieces and set aside. Slice the bacon into thirds or fourths, making sure that the bacon pieces are long enough to wrap around the chicken pieces.
- Wrap each piece of chicken with bacon and then secure it with a toothpick. If desired, sprinkle lightly with brown sugar. Place the wrapped chicken on on the wire rack over the prepared baking sheet. Cook the bites for 22-28 minutes, until the bacon is lightly browned and the chicken is cooked through. Serve hot with the dipping sauce of your choice. Enjoy!

Yum—I find some of my best ideas when my husband and I got out, especially in the appetizer department. I would happily eat these for an entire dinner, though.
