St-Germain Brunch Martini recipe by Barefeet In The KitchenMany of my cocktail recipes begin with the words, “while visiting my sister last month…” (It has become a running joke between us.) When I’m at home, it’s unusual for me to get creative and mix up a new drink.

However, when we are hanging out in the kitchen late at night and the kids are in bed, my sister and I tend to start dreaming up ideas for fun cocktails.

Often, the classics win out over all other choices, but this fun martini and this Citrus Splash were both huge hits for a Saturday brunch last time I visited her.

St-Germain Brunch Martini

Pin Print Review
Servings: 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce St-Germain
  • 1 1/2 ounce vodka
  • ounces orange juice
  • Ice
  • Optional: 1 ounce strawberry simple syrup fresh cut strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and then add the St-Germain, vodka and orange juice. Shake for at least 30 seconds, until well chilled. To create a layered drink, pour the strawberry syrup into a martini glass and then very slowly pour the chilled mixture over the back of an inverted spoon into the glass. (Here is a how to link with pictures, if you need a visual for this.) If you don't care about the layers, simply add the syrup to the shaker at the start. Float a few strawberry slices on top of the drink just before serving. Enjoy!
